As we have grown over the past few years, we have learned a lot about who we are and what our goals are. We are also still learning, every day, about how we operate as a non-profit.
Our Primary Mission is to Raise Awareness of Mental Health in the 9-1-1 Call Taker and Emergency Dispatcher Community... including employees, supervisors, employers, and the community at large.
We aim to provide those working in emergency communications with resources - via links to organizations that may directly assist them, websites, phone numbers and other points of contact.
When possible, we will also provide emergency dispatchers assistance with accessing education on coping skills, mental health, and physical & nutritional health, through financial aid. We will also try to support dispatchers/families in times of crisis/emergency.
Lastly, we will work together to advocate for change at local, regional and national levels... to have 9-1-1 Call Takers and Emergency Dispatchers Recognized as First Responders... So that they may receive the legal and rightful benefits afforded to other First Responders.
